Conditions of Use

The Glenstal Abbey online shop ("the Shop") is reached via the Glenstal Abbey website. The Shop is owned and managed by Glenstal Abbey and the domain is registered to the merchant, Glenstal Abbey Shop. The following terms & conditions apply to all orders received for products featured by Glenstal Abbey Shop:

a. Order Acceptance
The sale of products shall not be considered complete until we have accepted your offer to purchase them. Our acceptance of your offer to purchase is signified when we process your credit or debit card. We reserve the right to decline your order at any time up until the moment we charge your credit or debit card. Glenstal Abbey Shop does not sell to children. Those under 18 years of age may place an order only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

b. Customer Order Cancellation
If you wish to cancel your purchases from us, you must contact us via our e-mail address, shop@glenstal.org, or by telephone, 00 353 61 386103, within 24 hours of first placing your order. We will then advise you whether the goods have already been dispatched. If so, we will be unable to cancel your order and the goods will be charged to you and sent to the requested address. Providing we receive your notification before any item has been dispatched, we will cancel your order and you will not be charged.

c. Prices
All prices shown are in Euro and include VAT where applicable. We reserve the right at any time to revise prices to account for any increases in costs including, but not limited to, the increase or imposition of any duty, tax, levy or exchange rate variation. We will take all reasonable steps to notify you of any relevant revision of prices before processing your order.

d. Ingredients
PLEASE NOTE: ALL FOOD PRODUCTS FEATURED MAY CONTAIN NUTS AND ARE NOT SUITABLE FOR NUT ALLERGY SUFFERERS. SOME ALSO CONTAIN ALCOHOL.

e. Legal Liability
The contracts for the sale of goods by Glenstal Abbey Shop featured on our website shall be exclusively subject to, governed by, construed and interpreted in accordance with Irish law. The Irish courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction in respect of them and any disputes or claims arising out of or in connection with them. Our liability to you whether for breach of contract, misrepresentation, negligence or otherwise shall in no circumstance exceed the reasonable direct costs for the damaged, defective or undelivered goods which give rise to such liability and shall in any event be limited to the value of the goods supplied by us to you pursuant to your order.

f. Acceptance of our Terms & Conditions
By placing an order for goods featured on our website, you are deemed to have accepted all our terms and conditions as governing your order. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions specified, you must not order from us.
